The Nominating Committee (NomCom) of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is now accepting applications for key leadership positions within ICANN's Supporting Organizations and Advisory Committees, the Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) Board of Directors, and the ICANN Board of Directors.
The selected individuals will have a unique opportunity to work with accomplished colleagues from around the globe to help shape the policy development and technical coordination of the Internet's unique identifiers.
The deadline to submit applications is 18 February, 2026 at 23:59 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
The NomCom is inviting applications for the following positions:
- Two members of the ICANN Board of Directors
- One member of the PTI Board of Directors
- Two regional representatives to the At-Large Advisory Committee
- One from the Europe region
- One from the North America region
- One member of the Country Code Names Supporting Organization Council
- One member of the Generic Names Supporting Organization Council
Guided by the global public interest, those selected will help fulfill ICANN's mission to ensure the stable and secure operation of the Internet's unique identifier systems. These positions represent a significant opportunity for public service.
Qualifications

Application Process
Applications should be submitted using the online candidate portal. All applications are confidential.
For full consideration, completed applications must be received by 18 February, 2026 at 23:59 UTC. Applications that remain incomplete at this time will not be considered.
After receiving the applications, the NomCom will consider all applicants and select a short list of qualified candidates.
The NomCom anticipates announcing its selections in August 2026. Successful candidates will assume their positions at the conclusion of the ICANN87 Annual General Meeting in October 2026.
Meetings, Travel, Reimbursement, and Compensation
All positions require regular participation in virtual meetings (via telephone or online platforms) and may involve substantial international travel. Reasonable and properly documented expenses incurred in the course of service by all selected leaders will be reimbursed.
Each ICANN Board member has the option to receive compensation in accordance with a Board resolution: all other positions are voluntary and uncompensated.
